RSoft Photonic Device Tools Discovery Training

October 8 | 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CEST

Microsoft Teams meeting | Online check in: 9:15 a.m.

This discovery training introduces Keysight RSoft Photonic Device Tools, a comprehensive software suite for the design, simulation, and optimization of photonic devices and integrated optical components.

RSoft
enables engineers and researchers to model the behavior of light in waveguides, gratings, photonic integrated circuits (PICs), and other optical structures using industry-proven electromagnetic simulation technologies. The platform includes a range of numerical methods, such as Finite Difference Time Domain (FDTD), Beam Propagation Method (BPM), and Rigorous Coupled-Wave Analysis (RCWA), allowing users to analyze and optimize photonic designs across a wide variety of applications.

This training provides an overview of the RSoft design environment, core simulation workflows, and key capabilities for device modeling, performance analysis, and design optimization.

What You Will Learn?

  • Understand what RSoft is and how it can help accelerate photonic device design
  • Learn the fundamentals of the major simulation methods available in RSoft and when to use them
  • Gain a high-level understanding of the RSoft design and simulation workflow
  • Explore how RSoft supports photonic device analysis, optimization, and PIC design workflows

Who Should Attend This Event?

This training is ideal for:

  • Photonic device engineers and designers
  • Photonic integrated circuit (PIC) engineers
  • Optical engineers and researchers
  • Engineering managers evaluating photonic simulation software

No prior RSoft experience is required. A basic understanding of optics, photonics, or electromagnetic simulation concepts is recommended.
