OpenFOAM Product Update Webinar

In this webinar, the OpenFOAM team will introduce the December 2025 release of OpenFOAM and share an overview of the latest developments in the software. Designed for both long‑time users and those newer to the platform, the session will place the new release in the context of OpenFOAM’s long history as a leading open‑source CFD framework, developed and refined in close collaboration with its global user community.


The webinar will be led by Matej Forman, OpenFOAM Training Team Leader, who will walk through key technical updates and improvements, alongside Andrew Heather, Technical Director at OpenCFD, who will provide perspective on the evolution of OpenFOAM. Together, they will highlight what’s new in terms of solver capabilities, modeling enhancements, performance, and usability, and discuss how these updates support real‑world simulation workflows.


The session will conclude with time for questions and community discussion.

    Matej Forman is an experienced CFD specialist and a long‑standing contributor to the OpenFOAM community. He leads the OpenFOAM training program at OpenCFD, where he focuses on helping users apply OpenFOAM effectively across a wide range of industrial and research applications. Matej has extensive experience in numerical modeling, turbulence, multiphase flows, and solver development, and is a frequent instructor for official OpenFOAM training courses and workshops worldwide.
  • Andrew Heather
    Technical Director, OpenCFD (Keysight Technologies)
    Andrew Heather is Technical Director at OpenCFD, where he oversees the technical direction and development of OpenFOAM. He has been closely involved with OpenFOAM development for over 15 years, holding roles ranging from senior developer to development manager before assuming his current leadership position. Andrew has a strong background in CFD, software engineering, and large‑scale simulation, and plays a key role in guiding OpenFOAM’s ongoing evolution and engagement with the global user community.
