Optimizing Imaging System Performance: Balancing Hardware & Software with ImSym (European Session)

ImSym enables system level virtual prototyping by integrating optical design, sensor behavior, ISP processing, and stray light effects. Using realistic simulations, engineers can measure and correct image quality factors digitally, reducing the reliance on prototypes. This workflow allows teams to accelerate verification, mitigate schedule and cost risks, and bring their imaging systems to market faster. In this webinar we look at an example simulating distortion and discuss how to expand the approach to other applications.

Jonathan Brand

Application Engineer

Jonathan is a Sr. Staff applications Engineer based in Denver, Colorado. He studied optics at the University of Rochester and completed his Ph.D. at the University of Arizona on Liver Fibrosis Classification using MRI. Before joining ODE Jonathan developed multiple optical system solutions for medical robotics and optical manufacturing.
Adrien Manassero

Application Engineer

Adrien Manassero has been an Application Engineer on the Optical Design Engineering team since January 2020. As a member of the technical support team for the optical design software CODE V and Imsym, he provides technical support and delivers software training. He also contributes to a variety of engineering projects.

In addition, Adrien is part of the Hardware and Measurement Service team, where he supports the design and development of Keysight optical instruments used to measure the BRDF, BTDF, and TIS of material samples.

Prior to joining the team, Adrien worked at Valeo for approximately five years as an Optical Engineer, contributing to the development of a new headlamp from initial optical design through stray light analysis on the manufactured product.
