Accelerating High-Fidelity End-to-End Image Simulation with Stand-Alone Workflows

This webinar introduces a new, standalone approach for high‑fidelity image simulation without the need for an active connection to a full optical design environment, enabling faster and more efficient workflows. By decoupling image simulation from direct access to the lens design tool, users can now perform fast, accurate image formation analysis with significantly greater flexibility and efficiency using ImSym - Imaging System Simulator.

At the core of this approach is the use of Keysight’s Lens Performance Data (LPD): a compact, self‑contained representation of lens behavior derived from proven optical analysis techniques. LPD files capture the essential performance characteristics required for realistic image simulation, such as resolution, aberrations, and field‑dependent behavior, without exposing proprietary lens design details.

Attendees will learn how LPD files capture critical lens performance information and enable fast, high‑fidelity simulations, whether the LPD file is generated locally or obtained from a colleague, external partner, or lens supplier, without exposing proprietary design details. The webinar concludes with a demonstration showcasing the workflow in action, illustrating the speed, flexibility, and efficiency of stand‑alone end‑to‑end image simulation using LPD files.
